Birthdays
The principal announces all birthdays of the week on Monday morning during announcements and students receive a birthday pencil from the principal. Each class then recognizes student birthdays in different ways (hats, songs, re-alouds).
We cannot disrupt instruction with parties, flowers, balloons, or other large items; therefore, any such is not permitted on campus.
If you are interested in providing a treat to the class as a way to celebrate, please check with your child’s teacher regarding a small, individually packaged, treat/item to share. Cupcakes, donuts, cakes, pizza, or other items that are not individually wrapped are not permitted.
Occasionally, students want to invite students to non-school sponsored parties and wish to hand out their invitations at school. We have established the practice that unless the entire class is invited, these invitations may not be distributed at school.
