Parent Volunteers

Dear Parent Volunteers,

We are so grateful for your willingness to support our students and school community. Your time and commitment help make our campus a safe, welcoming, and engaging place for learning. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, please keep the following expectations in mind while volunteering in a classroom, at a campus event, or on a school sponsored field trip:

1. Sign In/Out: Always check in at the front office. Wear your visitor badge while volunteering in a classroom. Wear a Ruby Drive t-shirt when volunteering on a field trip.
   
   
2. Confidentiality: Protect student privacy by keeping any observations or information confidential.
   
   
3. Professionalism: Use positive language, encourage students, and model respectful behavior at all times.
   
   
4. Supervision: Follow staff directions and support established classroom and school rules. Volunteers should not discipline students directly.
   
   
5. Cell Phone Use: Please keep cell phone use to a minimum. Refrain from making calls, texting, or using social media while volunteering, as this can distract from student supervision and support.
   
   
6. Safety: Remain in approved volunteer areas, never leave campus without signing out, and report any concerns immediately to school staff.
   
   
7. Reliability: Please arrive on time and communicate with your teacher if you are unable to attend your scheduled volunteer time.
